Welcome to The Bookworm's Attic.

We offer credit for books we feel we can resell, offering between 5% and 15% of the retail price depending on the book's condition. We will always accept books with our book stamp for 15% of the cost you paid for it used. Books can be mailed or brought to the store.

Steps for trading with us:

1. Sign In to The Bookworm's Attic by clicking here. We will only issue credit for patrons with an active account.

2.Bring your books into the store at 354 Norway Avenue, Huntington WV (south western West Virginia, border of Ohio and Kentucky) or Send us your books via USPS media mail. After we receive them, and determine what we will accept, we will send you a list of the books and the credit received for each.

3. You will receive a gift certificate for the credit amount. You can use your gift certificate during the checkout process.

4. You can also check your membership account to keep track of how much credit you have available.

5. Credit can be used for the purchase of new and used books. Credit can not be used for the shipping, handling and sales taxs.

With so many books in the world, and the constant fluctuation of our stock, it is impossible to say exactly what books we are interested in at any one time. We are particularly iinterest in recent books ( within 3 - 4yrs* ) in the areas of :

Romance - except series (Harlequin series,etc) and Book Club Editions

Science Fiction

Fantasy

Mystery

Best Sellers Fiction (NY times, Washington Post, etc)

*Older books within these areas will be considered on a book by book basis.

However, we can say exactly what kinds of books we are not interested.

Damaged books or books not meeting book condition requirements.

Family Bibles

Textbooks

Encyclopedia sets (of any kind)

Magazines

Software of any kind.

We reserve the right to refuse any book that does not meet our requirements. By sending your books to us, you are agreeing to our buying terms. We will not return books that do not meet our requirements. We will donate books not meeting our buying requirements to local charities of our choice.** Shipping and handling charges for used books sent for credit are your responsibility.

*Typically Goodwill, Salvation Army, or other suitable charitable group.
